Responsibilities

Reporting to the President, Global Trade, the main duties of this role will include:

- Responsible, along with the local team in Cairo, for the P&L and growth strategy of ADM Medsofts

- Oversee the team’s procedures to ascertain accuracy and correctness of contract execution / application

- Responsible for the accuracy and correctness of the position and position reporting

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of grain market trends and competitor activities in order to use that information to adjust market strategy by capitalising on opportunities

- Maintain ongoing and regular communications with the marketplace to enhance and build trading relationships as well as to facilitate execution efforts

- Maintain ongoing and regular communications with other ADM colleagues within the local business unit, the division and related divisions in order to promote two-directional flow of relevant business information

- Represent the business at various external meetings, trade associations and committees with objectives of building business relationships with members of the industry while developing and influencing the industry in accordance with ADM’s interests

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

- MBA degree in Agribusiness

- At least 20 years of experience in the soft commodities trading industry (in particular soybean, canola and wheat)

- Experienced in trading on the Egyptian market

- Proven record in risk management responsibilities (futures hedging, speculation, spreads and board margin)

- Fluent English and Arabic (bilingual level in both languages)

- This position will require periodic overnight and international travel (50%)
